Power Layout
Not 'layout' as in the modeler's restrictive use of the word, but 'layout' as in the more traditional use, meaning to arrange the components, to lay them out.
Progress on the "Power Plank". Tiny control panel assembled but not yet wired or mounted.
Surprisingly enough, I use exactly the same equipment and brand. The only difference being I have 2 DCC hand controllers so two people can have a couple of cars on the go.
Good old MRC! An additional DCC throttle is on my someday list. MRC came out with a wireless dongle adapter a while back but it seems they may be either phasing them out or stock is just running low. More recently they introduced a wifi adapter that when combined with software can allow smartphones to be used as throttles. I'm in no hurry to upgrade to either, but sometime before this railroad is fully scenicked I'll want to add a staging plank for multiple train operations - possible even on such a small railroad. At that point I'll need to decide...
